From $0 to $1k Revenue in 3 Weeks
The Brief:
When KITS came to me, they had:
- No email channel set up
- No retention strategy in place
- $0 attributed revenue from email marketing
- A relatively small audience list (~400 recipients)
The goal was simple: build an email channel that could start generating revenue, without overwhelming the audience or damaging deliverability.
The Approach:
Rather than jumping into aggressive sending immediately, the strategy focused on building a strong retention foundation first. In the first week, I designed and implemented KITS Footwearās core email ecosystem including: Sign up form, Welcome Sequence, Abandoned Cart, Abandoned Checkout, Browse Abandonment, and Post-Purchase flows - creating automated touchpoints designed to capture high-intent customers and recover otherwise lost revenue.
Alongside the flows, I introduced a gradual campaign strategy of 1ā2 sends per week to carefully warm both the domain and audience, helping improve deliverability and long-term engagement.
Smart segmentation was also implemented early on to ensure subscribers were receiving more relevant content, allowing the brand to build trust, increase engagement, and create a sustainable retention channel from day one.
The Outcome:
In 3 weeks, KITS has transformed from generating no revenue through email marketing to building a retention channel responsible for 20% of total store revenue. The account generated over $1k in email-attributed revenue while maintaining exceptionally strong engagement metrics.
Despite sending to a relatively small audience of around 300~ subscribers per campaign, the combination of strategic flows, segmentation, and gradual audience warming demonstrated how email performs best when it works alongside every other marketing funnel - capturing, nurturing, and converting the traffic already landing on the website. And overall proved that even smaller brands can drive meaningful results through a well-executed email strategy.
